Adele's Facebook

I follow Adele's Facebook in my leisure time. I like to look some information from her facebook  because I am a big fan of her. Although she rarely  post her own daily life in the facebook , maybe her agency or her assistants will help her to post some information about her concert, videos,  new album, hit single and so on . So, I can watch these posts and videos to know more about her  own singer plan, and  I think I can get her close by following her facebook. each time when I watch the photos about her concert, I feel very happy and I also can image I join her concert .

Summary and Feedback on BBC News

Syria conflict: IS 'overruns hospital in Deir al-Zour'

Summary:
Militants from the Islamic State (IS) group have briefly overrun a hospital complex in the eastern Syrian city of Deir al-Zour. Activists mentioned that 35 pro-government fighters were killed and some medical staff taken hostage. This attack was centered on al-Assad hospital, to the west of the city. ISIS controls more than of half of Deir al-Zour and is seeking to capture the entire city. The group has been besieging government-held areas there for two years, trapping about 200,000 civilians. It said it had also taken over a fire station, university accommodation, grain silos and territory near the al-Tayyam oil fields.
Feedback:

I like to read the world news on the BBC. It is because it is clear and simple to read on the BBC. If you don’t really understand the headline or the article, you can receive more information by clipping some related links with the headlines. Take this new for example, this news is about the ISIS and the Syria. If you don’t really understand what happen between the ISIS and Syria, there are some many related articles, features, analysis and profiles about this topic and you can also watch the related videos. By this way, you can know more about the relationship between the ISIS and Syria, and you also can get whole different views from the others.

Use and feedback on the WriteAhead

Feedback:
I think this web is very cool. When you write something on this website, it will show you about how to use the words and help you to write the correct sentences. Before the class, I didn’t have any idea about this website. I only know that “word” can help you to correct your English spelling. But now, I think this website is better than the “word” because this one can help you about how to use the words!

my feedback on the Activities for ESL Students and 9 Websites That Solve Grammatical Mistakes

Before taking this class, I don’t have any idea about these learning English websites. And I even can’t believe there are such an interesting and easy way to learn new words and grammars through the websites.

I tried to use these websites after knowing them, and I found they are very useful. Whether the parts of vocabularies or the grammars are helpful, they are suited to people who want to learn the English in some easy ways. I think these websites are good because the quizzes of vocabularies and grammars just like little games in the websites. They make us learn English under no pressure. Honesty, these two websites are very useful, interesting, and convenient. We can learn the grammars and take the vocabularies quizzes in anytime with your smartphone or laptop as long as you have the internet. If I have the chance to help someone who wants to learn English, I think I will absolutely introduce he/she these useful websites.

Over-reliance (n)
Meaning: the state is too reliant on someone or something.
Grammar and rules: over-reliance on sth.
Examples from Coca:
(1) While I am not happy certainly at the way things have between first responders and ER doctors are well worth it, but she cautioned against over-reliance.
(2) As much as he disliked the emerging over-reliance on the 3-point shot, he saw the game moving in that direction, and ruled that tests designed by Pearson in that state discriminated against minorities.
(3) There is no “magical” solution, and finding alternative energy sources and reducing over-reliance on particular suppliers isn't something that one can change overnight.

Example: Your major error is over-reliance on the 3C products.

Matriculation (n)
Meaning: the process of being admitted to a university.
Examples from Coca:
(1.) The Direct entry matriculation requirement stipulates two relevant merit passes including English language at the Nigerian Certificate of Education subsequently cleared and admitted into the universities in the session under consideration. Therefore, matriculation related wastage is operationally used in this study to indicate the potential undergraduate loss due to reasons, which may include: -- Non clearance due to lack of matriculation requirements. -- Candidate's rejection of offer of a course not of choice.
(2). In addition, most assume that students who perform above average on their college matriculation exam will be capable of successfully completing each course in which they enroll. Many dilemmas are to clearly identify the type of program structure to potential students prior to matriculation in order to help them select the type of program structure that would best match time.
(3) A more likely solution is for institutions to provide opportunities for students to enroll participation in dual credit and dual enrollment is increasingly an element of students' pre-college matriculation preparation.
(4) In fact, most of the waning occurs in the first year crystallized learning and academic study system: a cognitive-behavioral approach to studying and learning from matriculation to graduation.

Example: Lisa studies hard everyday in order to pass the matriculation.

Blame game (n)
Meaning: People try to blame someone else for something bad happened instead of take the responsibility.
Grammar and use: take the blame game to sb/ sth.
Examples from Coca:
(1). to breaking research, it's not French authorities as " backstabbers, " one person wasn't lured into the shrill blame game: Prime Minister David Cameron.
(2). Former Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell took the blame game to a new low when he took the stand at his $170,000 corruption trial and said, " You're blaming. "
(3). If it fails, it then becomes a blame game. Now, people can argue that the president might be able to win the blame game, but then, you just apportioning something nobody wants which is blame.
Example : The police took the blame game to the the suspected terrorists about the mistake shouting.
